Phorid flies, also called humpback flies, look a lot like fruit flies. They run in short bursts instead of flying away, and they breed in very different places.
They breed in decaying organic matter: slime inside drains, broken sewer lines and even soil under a cracked concrete slab. That’s why phorid flies can spread through a whole building.
Pest Boss handles phorid fly control across Burnaby. We track down the breeding source, which is the only way to stop them.
Give Pest Boss a call if you’re seeing any of these:
- Small humpbacked flies around sinks, floor drains and toilets
- Flies that run across surfaces instead of flying off
- Flies that keep coming back after the kitchen has been cleaned
